HF10
With a baby on its way, we have decided to buy a camcorder. I have spent many hours looking around for the right one, and I think I have decided to go for a Canon Vixia HF10.
I really like the idea of removable storage instead of a big HDD - the HF10 has an internal memory of 16GB and is extensible using SDHC cards. It shoots 1080p and has a lot of fantastic features, a great lens, great autofocus etc. I can recommend reading the great review at camcorderinfo.com which actually covers every little detail.
A few pictures of the beauty:

If you have experience with this or other HD camcorders, then please share them. But otherwise I am pretty certain that this is a good choice!
And a last thing - if I end up buying this cam, I will of course upload more photos and test shootings!

I've been looking at HD camcorders too...When I was looking, I wasn't too interested in features, I was really just looking for something small and fairly cheap. The Aiptek GO-HD was looking good to me, but I watched some videos taken by it and the sound was horrible and it didn't handle motion too well.

After reading a few more reviews, I am pretty certain we will buy this one - at least if we don't wait with buying till something new and better arrives ;)
