As I wrote yesterday, I am working on a new Habari theme, using the typeface Georgia.
You can see it live on this blog by clicking here, or by changing the theme to "Blablabla 0.1" in the theme switcher in the sidebar. There is still a lot to do, so it wont be available for download quite yet.
I still need a name for it - ideas? Georgia?

I have begun working on a new free Habari theme. Yet again it's a very simple and lightweight theme with use of as few images as possible. The main font of the theme is Georgia, which in my opinion is the most beautiful web safe serif typeface, and I have aimed at using it as good as possible.
Right now I am coding it as a static HTML page, to get all small details fixed: how should lists, blockquotes, inline images look etc. When that is done, I'll start converting it to a working Habari theme, add the themeswitcher plugin, and keep this blog a working demo of both the Habarism theme and the new theme.
But take a look at the static template (temporary link) as it looks this very minute - this is my working copy, so it might change as you look at it.
Please, if you have any comments, ideas or name suggestions, leave a comment to this post.

I have begun translating Habari to danish, using launchpad.net. Actually I think these first steps went rather well, but I have take some issues into consideration.
As I also posted to the habari-dev mailing list, I have chosen to keep some of the main terms in english, rather than translating them to danish equivalent terms. This is e.g. theme, tags, dashboard and plugin, which could be translated to e.g. skabelon, nøgleord, instrumentbræt and indstiksmodul.
I think that keeping main terms in english would keep users from many issues with future support on international Habari websites and forums, and would ease the process of searching the internet for new plugins and themes. In danish we already adopt so many english words into daily speech, and after time to the dictionaries, so it isn't hard for people here to get used to a few english terms. Would that be much different in e.g german, french or turkish?
Any input is appreciated, here in comments or on the habari-dev mailinglist.

There has been some issues with Habarism 1.1, since the fantastic blogroll plugin were updated.
I have uploaded version 1.2 of the theme with following changes:
- Fixed support for new blogroll plugin
- Removed FlickrRSS support, started using flickr's own badge
- Added support for the Twitter plugin
To download and read about installation, take a look at my downloads page.

I just submitted my theme changes to the habari-extras trac, which in other words means, that an updated version is available from the usual download link.
A nice little feature in 1.1 is that when you are logged in on the blog, the drafts will be shown a little opaque, so it is extra easy to tell drafts from published entries.
If you would like to see Habarism in action, please feel free to browse around this blog - you are looking at it.
To read more about installation and a few things to notice, take a look at my downloads page.
